As the official European City of Culture (2007), Sibiu boasts the best preserved architecture in Romania as well as its very own established museum, the Folk Museum. The quaint back alleys and stunning church-adorned squares provide the perfect opportunity to soak up the culture, pausing for refreshments in the numerous cafés and restaurants dotted in and around the majestic old town.
