Dracula Castle Break

The Untravelled Paths Dracula's Castle city break will take you to the heart of Transylvania, the home of Dracula. You will visit the legendary Bran Castle, a fortified outpost which housed Vlad the Impaler from time to time during his reign which is every bit the depiction of the eerie castle that housed the infamous count Dracula in the 1897 novel by Irish author Bram Stoker. After you'll be able to get your fangs into a hearty traditional Romanian lunch, which will prepare you for the walk up to the picturesque, crumbling ruins of Rasnov Fortress which provides stunning panoramic views. Once you have checked in to your cosy hotel in Brasov you'll have the rest of the day to yourselves to explore this charming medieval town. The following lunchtime you'll be transferred back to Bucharest via Sinaia and its beautiful Peles Castle which used to house the Royal Family.

Bear Tracking

Our fantastic bear tracking mini-break combines a stay in the fascinating city of Bucharest and the thrill of looking for bears in their natural habitat. In Bucharest you will have the opportunity to explore the city's interesting past and enjoy the lively nightlife of this fast evolving city. The next day you'll travel through the beautiful Transylvanian country landscape via Sinaia and the wonderful Peles Castle to the medieval town of Brasov. After lunch you will visit a bear hide where there is a 90% chance of having the opportunity to see bears in their natural habitat. The following morning you will be up early to track bears at dusk where your professional tracker will tell you all you need to know. Following your morning adventure you will visit the eerie Bran (aka Dracula's) Castle before heading back to Bucharest for your final night.

Lynx & Wolf Tracking

When you arrive in Bucharest you will be taken to one of our lovely, centrally located preferred hotels in the heart of the Lipscani district where you can explore the city and soak in the lively night scene. The following morning you will travel through the stunning mountain landscape to the town of Sinaia where you will visit the beautifully regal Peles Castle before continuing on to the charming Saxon town of Brasov where you will have lunch. Afterwards you will get your first opportunity to track the lynx and wolf at dawn and possibily see these very private animals in their natural habitat, a thoroughly unique experience. The following morning you will go tracking once again but this time at dusk before travelling to the legendary Bran Castle which is also known as Dracula's Castle. The Delta Bird Watching Trip

This amazing part of Romania is possibly its most authentic with its few inhabitants who have been living in the past for years in the traditional fishing village of Sfantu Gheorghe. The bird watching on offer is exceptional and there is also fishing on offer for those who wish to catch their own dinner! After arriving in Bucharest we will take you on a catamaran boat journey to Sfantu Gheorghe which is one of the oldest cities in Transylvania. After a day of relaxing and exploring, a small motor powered fishing boat takes you down the Danube Delta to beautiful bird reservations where with over 270 bird species any bird watching enthusiast will be amazed. The Delta Fishing Trip

The Last Frontier is exactly that, a modern four star hotel on the border with the Ukraine and miles from civilisation. It's our most remote hotel in Romania and only accessible by boat. It is however beautiful and fantastic for angling enthusiasts. The Last frontier is located in Danube Delta which is home to a vast array of fish such as the carp and the catfish some stretching well over 1 metre and weighing over a mammoth 100kgs. These monsters will provide a challenge for the most experienced fishing enthusiasts making the Delta arguably one of the best places in Europe to fish.
