Trekking & Biking

"Transylvania – so beautiful... so insulated from the exhausting, moronic clamour of western Europe!"

The scenery in Romania is such a well kept secret that it is quite breathtaking when you find  yourself outside of Bucharest for the first time. The best ways to take advantage of the natural beauty are trekking and biking through the countryside and both can be enjoyed in most of our destinations. Trekking through bear territory in the Caparthian Mountains near Balea Lake or in the mountainous retreat of Sinaia are not to be missed and both boast inspiring views and isolated routes allowing our trekkers to really feel at one with nature. In the summer the wild flowers cover the mountains and in the winter the snowy peaks loom overhead, both sights inviting to those who enjoy the great outdoors. Biking is also possible near Sinaia and Brasov and is perfect for those wishing to see the natural surroundings whilst experiencing more of an adrenaline rush. Some trails are not for the faint hearted!
