The Danube Delta is home to vast number of fish, with many, such as the carp and the catfish stretching well over 1 metre and weighing over a mammoth 100kgs! These monsters will provide a challenge for the most experienced fishing enthusiasts and make the Delta arguably one of the best places in Europe to fish. If you’re lucky you may even hook a Beluga Sturgeon which is not only the largest freshwater fish in the Danube system, but are famous for the caviar produced from its roe.
